Soundcore by Anker Liberty 4 NC Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds
"The Soundcore Liberty 4 NC punches astronomically above its sub-$70 price point, delivering top-tier adaptive noise cancellation, rich bass response, and up to 50 hours of total playtime that easily rivals earbuds costing over $200."
The Good (Pros)
- Shockingly powerful adaptive ANC that silences low airplane cabin hums and subway rumble better than almost anything under $150
- Exceptional 50-hour overall battery life paired with wireless Qi charging case convenience
- Hi-Res Wireless certification with LDAC codec support for rich, high-fidelity sound clarity
- Fully featured companion app with HearID sound calibration, custom EQ sliders, and multi-point device switching
The Bad (Cons)
- Microphone quality is decent in quiet rooms but struggles slightly in crowded windy outdoor streets
- Charging case has a wide push-button clamshell opening that takes slightly more pocket depth than slim AirPods cases
Finding true wireless earbuds with genuinely powerful Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) usually requires surrendering over $200 to premium brands like Apple, Sony, or Bose. Most budget offerings slap an “ANC” badge on the box, only to let through screeching subway wheels, loud office chatter, and airplane engine drone.
The Soundcore by Anker Liberty 4 NC completely shatters those expectations. Armed with custom high-sensitivity sound sensors and Adaptive ANC 2.0, it claims up to 98.5% noise reduction in real-time—and backs it up with real-world acoustic performance that leaves other sub-$100 earbuds in the dust.
1. Class-Leading Adaptive ANC: Real World Silence
The star feature here is Soundcore’s real-time environmental calculation:
- Adaptive Real-Time Calibration: Internal and external microphones analyze ambient room noise and your specific ear canal shape every 0.3 seconds, dynamically tailoring the reverse frequency curve.
- Commuter & Airplane Champion: Low-frequency continuous rumbles—such as Boeing jet turbines, air conditioning HVAC units, or diesel bus engines—vanish almost entirely.
- Custom Wind-Noise Suppression: An intelligent algorithm automatically kicks in to eliminate the sharp wind buffeting that plagues so many earbuds during outdoor walks or cycling.
2. Audio Fidelity & Hi-Res Wireless LDAC
Under the hood, 11mm custom dynamic drivers deliver crisp highs and punchy, tactile sub-bass:
- Hi-Res Wireless & LDAC Support: For Android users and audiophiles, enabling Sony’s LDAC audio codec transmits three times more data than standard Bluetooth, unveiling crisp acoustic guitar plucks and layered vocal harmonies.
- HearID Personal Sound Profile: The Soundcore companion app runs a quick hearing frequency test, generating a personalized hearing profile that boosts specific frequencies your ears naturally perceive less clearly.
- Full 8-Band Parametric EQ: If you prefer neutral flat response or extra bass thump for hip-hop and EDM, the app provides full manual EQ customization.
3. Battery Life That Outlasts the Competition
Battery anxiety is virtually non-existent with the Liberty 4 NC:
- 10 Hours Single Playtime: Get up to 10 hours of continuous listening on a single charge (approx. 8 hours with aggressive ANC enabled).
- 50 Hours Total Capacity: The matte charging case holds an additional 40 hours of backup juice.
- Wireless Qi Charging & Fast Boost: Place the case on any wireless charging pad or plug in via USB-C. A quick 10-minute top-up provides 4 full hours of immediate playback.
Practical Daily Convenience
With Bluetooth 5.3 multipoint connection, you can pair the Liberty 4 NC simultaneously to both your laptop and your smartphone. Listen to music or attend Zoom meetings on your computer, and the audio will seamlessly pause and switch to your phone when an incoming phone call rings.
Final Verdict: Why the Liberty 4 NC is an Unbeatable Value
If you have a strict $70 budget and want earbuds that rival $200+ flagships in active noise cancelling, battery life, and rich companion software customization, the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC is simply unbeatable in its class.
